546-68-9 Titanium Isopropoxide, Tetraisopropyl Orthotitanate
Tetraisopropyl titanate is an important organotitanium compound with CAS number 546-68-9. It is primarily used as a precursor for the preparation of titanium dioxide thin films and nano-TiO₂; as a catalyst for transesterification and condensation reactions in organic synthesis; as a crosslinking agent and adhesion promoter in the coatings and plastics industries; and as a raw material for the preparation of titanate coupling agents. It can also be used as a sintering aid for ceramic materials.
